Wallets are for pocket money
Vaults are for safekeeping

Each and every BC Vault ships pre-loaded with a private key, encrypted the exact same way as every other wallet on the device. This private key corresponds to a public address that owns 1.0 BTC. If you break the encryption on it, its yours!

This is a representation of the worst case scenario: an attacker obtains your device or backup. Even though armed with all this information, the attacker will still have an incredibly hard time doing anything with this or any other reasonably-passworded private key. This is in stark contrast to BIP44/38 based hardware wallets that CANNOT encrypt their backups. BC Vault is the first commercially available multi-crypto wallet offering SECURE BACKUPS.

The BC VAULT is a hardware wallet that makes no compromises like competing Ledger and Trezor products. It might just be the most affordable cold storage and payment device in one – a multi-crypto wallet that will make the use of cryptocurrencies easy and storage reliable, but not at the expense of advanced functionalities and security features.
The best hardware wallet for crypto in 2019 is a question I get asked a lot. I’ve used pretty much every wallet there is on the market today, and the BC Vault has the most unique approach I’ve seen in a while. The private key storage chip itself is a FeRAM, or Ferroelectric RAM, which can store data in perfect integrity for far longer than traditional flash storage that is used on other wallets. There are no seed phrases to write down on this wallet either, which makes setup even easier. Rather than keeping a seed phrase, you must keep a device pin and password that get entered on both your computer and device when using the wallet for security purposes.

The BC Vault is fairly intuitive to use and a beginner could master this wallet without much difficulty. Even though the device doesn’t use a mnemonic seed, users must remember to back up the encrypted key on the micro SD card or print out the QRs for recovery purposes. If the global password, PIN, and encrypted backups are lost, the funds held inside the BC Vault can never be retrieved.
The BC Vault is an interesting addition to the existing roster of hardware wallets and has clearly been designed to fall closer to the security end of the spectrum. Despite this, however, the product seemed well-built and easy to use, the software straightforward – and the customizable options for security are a particularly nice feature.
BC Vault was created because established hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger do not focus 100% on their issues. For example, Saleem Rashid posted a major Ledger security issue on his website. Bitcoin Magazine also reported an article about the Wallet.Fail demonstration . The response from Ledger & Trezor appeared pretty soon, but they weren’t exactly what the crypto community was expecting. That’s why BC Vault came to life, so your funds can be secured by a team focused solely on security.
